On a blanket-to-blanket type web offset press, fluttering of paper when leaving nips of blankets causes misregister, doubling and ghost.

INK

● Difficulty in release from the blanket.(Due to high tack value or viscosity.)

● Reduce the tack value by adding 3-5% more compound.

● Use low tack ink.

PAPER

● Excessive smoothness and ink absorbency of paper make a difficulty in release.

● Replacement of paper.

● Imbalance of the printed space on each side.

● Imbalance of the distribution of dampening water on both sides of paper.

● Shortage of tension.

● Reduce the amount of ink as much as possible.

● Check and adjust the distribution of dampening water on the printing plate.(the amount, the ups and downs.)

● Adjust the tension.

● Change the types of blanket.

● Slow down the press speed.
